Flowers at the Capitol
The next stop on our weekend road trip was Heritage Park in Olympia. It’s a little city park with waterjets built into the concrete, going off in time to a choreographed show in the spring and summer.
Trees in full bloom framed our view of the capitol building. The smell of salt air brushed by from Budd Inlet. Flower petals gently fell, creating a faux-snow blanket around our feet. That mix with giggles from kids and adults alike playing in the park’s amazing fountain made for a relaxing trip after weeks of rain.
